Good morning,
When private information about Missouri students receiving school vouchers appeared in a downloadable file on the state treasurer’s website, officials quickly removed it and told families the problem had been resolved.
How it happened in the first place is less clear.
Newly released emails show how the treasurer’s office described the leak behind the scenes, where it placed responsibility and what its contractor says about that account. The spreadsheet itself adds another clue.
