Good morning.
Supporters say Amendment 4 would protect rural Missouri from big-money ballot campaigns driven by the state’s cities.
But opponents outside Missouri’s largest metro areas say the measure would do the opposite — making it harder for voters to bypass Jefferson City when lawmakers refuse to act.
Today’s lead story looks at how the Aug. 4 fight has become a debate over who speaks for rural Missouri.
