The conservative divide over Missouri’s abortion amendment

Missouri’s abortion debate has usually been framed as a fight between those who want abortion legal and those who want it banned.

But as Anna Spoerre reports today, there’s another fault line developing — this one among conservatives who agree abortion should be restricted but disagree sharply over how far the law should go.

That split could matter: the latest SLU/YouGov poll has Amendment 3 essentially tied, 43% to 44%.
