Backers of the Missouri parks and soils sales tax tax — a coalition of farmers, state park enthusiasts and environmentalists — would be happier about its chances for renewal if it was the only question on the primary ballot. But it is not. Strong opposition groups have formed to defeat two measures sent to the ballot by lawmakers. Backers worry those campaigns could generate opposition to all ballot proposals.

The application window to win one of 77 microbusiness marijuana licenses through a lottery selection will open July 13-27. The selection lottery is scheduled to take place on Sept. 9, and the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation expects to issue the licenses in December, according to a press release issued Monday.
