The Missouri Supreme Court kept the new congressional map in place for now, but one county clerk says that has not given local election officials enough certainty to prepare ballots.

Lawmakers, with the session nearly over, are sending politically charged bills to Gov. Mike Kehoe on abortion and online age checks. And an effort to write guardrails for artificial intelligence shows how hard it is for states to regulate a fast-moving technology without running into pressure from Washington and business groups.
