Good morning,

The Missouri Supreme Court is pressing a Cole County judge to move quickly on a lawsuit challenging Secretary of State Denny Hoskins’ decision to block a referendum on Missouri’s gerrymandered congressional map. The reason is simple: After Sept. 8, courts can no longer add measures to the November ballot.

With both sides preparing for appeals, the courts have just weeks to sort it out. Rudi Keller has the latest.
