The Missouri Supreme Court sounded skeptical Wednesday of arguments that voters should be barred from weighing in on the congressional map Republicans approved last year.
The stakes go beyond whether the referendum appears on the November ballot. The court’s ruling could determine which district lines Missouri uses in the general election, most notably in a Kansas City-area seat Republicans redrew in hopes of flipping it.
