Good morning.

Missouri’s redistricting fight has already moved through the legislature, the courts, and both state and local election offices.

Now it has opened a new front: public records.

Secretary of State Denny Hoskins is asking a Cole County judge to let him keep closed records showing how his office handled a disputed batch of signatures on the referendum petition challenging Missouri’s new congressional map. Those are the signatures he did not send to local election authorities for verification.
