Good morning,
Missouri’s cannabis industry is still young, but its workplace politics are maturing fast.
After years of legal fights and company pushback, cannabis workers are starting to stack wins: a first union contract for dispensary employees in Columbia, a union vote at a St. Louis processing operation and another election coming this month at Vibe Cannabis.
Workers who once thought organizing was impossible are now trading lessons across companies and departments, turning isolated campaigns into something closer to a statewide labor push.
Rebecca Rivas has the story.
