In Missouri’s 4th Senate District, the Democratic primary is the election.
Gina Mitten is making the race about abortion rights and Steve Butz’s voting record. Butz is making it about policing, public safety and his roots in south St. Louis. The winner of the Aug. 4 primary will replace term-limited state Sen. Karla May.
Anna Spoerre breaks down the choice facing Democratic voters.

The bill applies to commercial websites and social media platforms that knowingly and intentionally publish or distribute content in Missouri if more than one-third is “sexual material harmful to minors.”
