Good morning.
In North St. Louis County, the Democratic primary is likely to decide who represents the district in the Missouri Senate.
That would ordinarily make an open Senate seat one of the biggest contests on the Aug. 4 ballot. This year, it is competing with two constitutional amendments, a congressional rematch and a county executive race featuring the senator the candidates hope to replace.
Rebecca Rivas looks at what separates the four candidates, the records they are asking voters to weigh and why recognition may prove decisive in a race struggling to be heard.
