Good morning,
Missouri’s largest charter school sponsor has built up a healthy reserve — nearly $3.3 million as of July — and now it’s giving some of that money back. Administrators say the extra money can make a real difference, helping pay for staffing, field trips and other student needs that might otherwise be squeezed out of tight budgets.
Annelise Hanshaw has the details on the third time in recent years the commission has returned surplus funding to the charter schools it oversees.
